  57.  Now is the time to start backing up your data.   You never know       
  58.  when something will happen that could wipe everything out.   Be       
  59.  ready with WinRescue. WinRescue can be set up to run                  
  60.  automatically.  It can run minimized so that you can go on with

  62.  It is a good idea to back up to another drive.   WinRescue will       
  63.  back up to harddrive, diskette, CD/RW, Zip Drive, Network             
  64.  Drive, and any device that can be copied to in Windows                
  65.  Explorer.

  69.  Wizards provide step-by-step instructions through the backup          
  70.  and restore process.

  74.  The Extractor in WinRescue will open zip files and extract files

  77.  An Uninstaller

  79.  Run Backup before installing an application (especially if you are    
  80.  only trying it out).   Then if it messes up your computer or you      
  81.  uninstall it soon afterwards, run WinRescue's Crash Fixer to return   
  82.  your operating system back to the way it was before the               
  83.  application was installed (this will remove the hidden entries that   
  84.  applications often leave in the registry).

  86.  Quick Transfer of Files between Computers

  88.  With the Backup Properties set on No Compression and                  
  89.  Replace, WinRescue will transfer selected folders and files from      
  90.  one computer to another computer on a network (this works good        
  91.  to keep your laptop in sync with your desktop and vice versa).

  93.  Four Backup Types                                                     
  94.                                                                        
  95.  Full Backup backs up all of the specified files.                      
  96.  Incremental Backup only backs up files that have changed since        
  97.  the last Full or Incremental backup.                                  
  98.  Differential Backup only backs up files that have changed since       
  99.  the last Full backup.                                                 
  100.  Replace opens up the Backup File and replaces any of the              
  101.  specified files that are different.

  103.  Specify Four Different Configs                                        
  104.                                                                        
  105.  Use WinRescue's default or create up to four different setups         
  106.  (configs) that decide what happens during Backup.   For               
  107.  example, one config could back up the registry to the hard drive,     
  108.  a second config could back up recently changed files to the Zip       
  109.  drive, and a third config could backup other files to a network       
  110.  drive.

  112.  Back up Any Files, Directories, or Types of Files that you Want       
  113.                                                                        
  114.  Selecting files to back up is as easy as clicking a checkbox from     
  115.  the Explorer-type list.   Wildcards can be used to specify types of   
  116.  files to back up, such as, *.txt for all text files.

  118.  Boot Disk                                                             
  119.                                                                        
  120.  Creates a special bootup diskette for when you cannot get to the      
  121.  first menu of WinNT.   Just insert the bootup diskette and restart    
  122.  the computer.   The menu will be displayed that lets you choose       
  123.  operating systems, like, DOS, Win95, or Win2000.

  128.  drive, diskette, Zip Drive, Network Drive, or CD-RW.

  172.  The Backup Manager tells where Backup Sets are located and            
  173.  easily deletes, renames, and adds them.

  175.  Verifies Backups

  177.  If you choose, after a backup is made WinRescue will go back          
  178.  and checks the integrity of the backup to make sure that it is        
  179.  good.

  181.  DOS Version

  183.  WinRescue 2000 comes with a DOS version, just in case you             
  184.  cannot get into Windows2000.   The DOS version will restore           
  185.  Windows2000 outside of Windows2000 from the spare registry,           
  186.  WinRescue backups, or the repair registry. The DOS version will       
  187.  not work when Win2000 is installed on a NTFS partition.

  189.  Compress Backup Files

  191.  Choose the Compression Ratio of Backups.   Choose from:

  199.  Use the Extractor to restore individual files

  201.  The Extractor opens WinRescue backup files, displays the              
  202.  enclosed files, and allows the user to choose which files to          
  203.  restore.   Restore to original location, temporary directory, or to   
  204.  specified location.

  206.  PKZip Backups

  208.  Backup Sets that are compressed are PKZip compatible.   So if         
  209.  you don't want to use WinRescue 2000 to restore, you can use          
  210.  WinZip or pkunzip.exe.
